#NOFILTER

Location

Ugly, repulsive, boring, plain

Is what we believe others see in us.

But through filters there is nothing we gain,

It’s our own mind that creates such a fuss.

Take away the photoshop and filter,

There’s nothing wrong with the person we are.

It’s as if our minds are out of kilter,

And our eyes are viewing us from afar.

We each are strong, unique, and beautiful,

At some point in time we had lost our ways.

We look at ourselves in a way that’s pitiful,

Our confidence has seen its better days.

Without filters, we’re who we choose to be.

Take it all away, it won’t control me.
