No More Tomorrow

Location

How can she expect to find love when she has none left for herself,

When she has nothing left to give,

When she is losing the will to live

She wades in the water up to her waist, but wishes it would go over her head

But even God doesn’t want her, otherwise she’d be dead

Even with everyone who says for her they care

When she turns around there is nobody there

She feels so alone, she morns for the carefree girl who used to be

But that girl is buried so deeply, trapped and can’t set herself free

Even when she is surrounded, she feels overwhelming loneliness

She tries to fight off the demons within, but feels helpless

She feels nauseous from all the pain that seeps through her pores

For her past mistakes, her guilt is having fun keeping scores

She lays in bed hanging on by a thread wishing she was dead

She doesn’t really want to die, but she doesn’t want to live

She wishes she could sleep for a lifetime instead

Wishing she could love herself enough to fight and forgive

Letting herself sink in the bottom of the sea

Letting whatever is meant to happen, be

There would be no more pain, and no more sorrow

For there would also be no more tomorrow
