Ninety Nine Peopl

Location

With ninety nine people crammed in one seat,
Together, we make a small fleet.
It feels like one day and a thousand nights,
As we travel, struggle with all our might.
People complain that sitting there has been hard,
When all what they do is drive a car.
Children cry and babies sleep,
Wishing that one day they can go about and leap.

With ninety nine people crammed in one seat,
We carry on with a steady beat.
"Sleep on me", all their minds said
As one lay down to rest their head.
Music goes on, but no one listens;
The night dances away with all their visions.

With ninety people crammed in one seat,
Some people complain they have nothing to eat.
"Look out the window, my darling", they say
"You can see the birds and the trees as they pass away".
Young people cry as their signals die
Due to tall mountains covering the sky.

With ninety nine people crammed in one seat,
The little ones can't find their feet.
Such longings they have due to such waiting;
Dreams are dashed with the task of baiting.
"How much longer?", a young boy asks.
He never was up to such long tasks.

With ninety nine people crammed in one seat,
Some people read, while others forget to be sweet.
Belaboring that they can't go out to play
They have been stuck in a box all day.
What I do among this mess?
I think of how creativity has kept me blessed.

With ninety nine people crammed in one seat,
The weather changes quickly on its fast feet,
From sunny days to windy snow,
From many people to the gas man named Moe.
No else, but me watches to see land fly by
They look at books and TV with many an eye.
One day I wonder where they will be,
If they can't feel the beauty that I see.
