Nightmare Dressed Like a Daydream

Since that day my mother left to meet the king

Standing alone has been my thing

As I grow older I become more on my own

The strength in me has become well known

Even when I made the move to the orange and blue city

I wouldn’t let myself drown in my own pity

Some of life’s barriers have contributed to my nonchalant mood

But it is my smile and beauty which will have you fooled

What everyone else would consider this life to be a nightmare

Only felt like a daydream to me because

I am strong due to the flawless strength god gave me
