Night Terrors

It is stagnant.
The dark intimidates me.
My subconscious is cruel.
There is a suspension of time that I am profoundly aware of.
He's here! He speaks to me. The words are incoherent and stumble though my mind.
I strain to hear his voice. Just once more.
I know it cannot be authentic. This is surreal.
The madness starts.
I can't breathe.
I'm immobile.
The silence is absolute.
The night terrors horrify me. I bask in the light.
I'll always be apprehensive of sleep but I will welcome the dark to see him.
