Night drive

Location

I love the way the trees fly by on a night sky
stars like fireflies.
If I could write a letter,
I'd send it on those wings.
Tell you about all sorts of things.
Like this lonely highway and the sound of "I wish you would stay".

If I could write a letter to my father
and send him kisses from this earth,
I'd tell him what his smile is truly worth.
If I could take one more photograph,
pick up the sound of his laugh.
I'd tell him a thousand times I love you,
and spend every second together.
If I could write a letter to my father

It's funny how the seasons pass us by,
we laugh and cry.
If I could write a song,
let the ocean sing it back.
Memories laid like old train tracks.
never could they fade

If I could write a letter to my father

and send him kisses from this earth,

I'd tell him what his smile is worth.

If I could take one more photograph,

pick up the sound of his laugh.

I'd tell him a thousand times I love you,

and spend every second together. If I could write a letter to my father
