Night Dress

That lonesome stretch down the path less taken.

The sun failed to rise because the light was mistaken.

The sky will cry out to those who weep.

She wakes them from their weary sleep.

A slumber lasting months since the fall,

     he watches Her from down the hall.

The birds sing once they see Her no more.

It is always a great horror.

She lies upon waking from the frozen season.

A night drenched with limitless concrete;

       She knows the reason.

Through dark evenings and a clueless mind,

      She wishes for erased time.

The sun falls as She descends from the heavens

      filled with light,

leaving all that remains in the night.
