New Start

I'm not closing the door, so we still in the car.
But I have to move forward, grow from afar.
Just know I love you, you are always in my heart.
In order for us to grow, we have to be apart.
Renew our spirits, heal and repair our hearts.
I'm gonna try my best to hold on to the good parts.
You've imprinted on me, you've made your mark.
We knew this would be tough from the start.
So much ugly, but overall a beautiful work of art.
Beautiful carnage described it from the start.
It's up to us to pull us out of the dark.
No more battle wounds, avoid making more scars.
I wish the best for you, rise, reach the stars.
I'll be on the sideline, I wont be very far.
I wont bother you or attempt to dim your star.
I will do me and you will do you from afar.
I'm open minded, but cautious because of my scars.
I hurt you too, you have your own scars
For the pain I inflicted, I'm sorry for my part
The cars in drive, no longer in park
On the road I will be heading North, to begin my new start.
