New Moon

Perhaps she was too good to be real

Left to tempt

But never to materialize.

All good things are temporary,

All but the stars.

Even when the moon disappears

Those twinkling orbs glow on,

A trail of breadcrubs leading us back to our hearts

A reminder that beauty need not always be seen.

I do not know where my precious constellation is hiding

But I can feeling it calling to me from lightyears away.

She is my New Moon in the midnight sky

And I need my soul to carry me home.
