The New Me

I always felt that my

Words,

Thoughts,

Feelings,

Were choked by my brain.

Chained by my heart.

Jailed by my lips.

Until I heard the reverberated echo caused by poetry.

There was a hum

A click,

A snap,

Until suddenly I felt as if a cloud of dejavu lifted from my chest.

My feet felt like I was supposed to be there in that present moment.

My skin tingled with a sense of belonging.

My body felt like home.

Everything that had been burned down and scorched before leaving my body

Was suddenly hot lava,

Trickling through every vein.

Fueled by an IV of billions of ideas.

Filtered by my emotions.

Finally,

Shaped and molded into a beautiful figurine composed of words.

There I was naked.

Stripped of everything.

Nothing left.

But,

I radiated happiness
