New Home

Zoom!
New York City Streets
New home
Honk!
Suburban boy meets Urban jungle
Zip!
College is real
No one to save you
Alone
in a sea of people
No-body to talk to
but God

Hear the lonliness set in--
Ding!
Step into the vessel that takes you to your destination.
Ding!
Doors close behind
Jungle natives look up for their next meal
"Hey!"
I've been chosen
Nonsense for words out of homelessness jargon
Spitting, teasing
Nowhere to run

Ding!
run

Few steps out
Thud!
Another native hits the jungle floor
Unconscious
Alone
Homeless
Is anyone gonna help?
No
I must
He needs me.
One hand
Two hands
Three hands
Four
Five people now surrounding
He's off the floor
Unreceptive to the mindless impact
Horrifying
run

Wooosh
Stepping away
Alone again
Where's home?
It's late
Where am I?
I'm home.
