New Girl

Thu, 01/09/2014 - 23:37 -- Kaelyn

They stare as she walks in the room
     She trembles, afraid, wondering,
Will they hate? Will they judge?
Do they care? Why the stares?

They are nervous, wondering
     Who is she?Why's she here?
     Just a slender young girl
     Who doesn't look their way
Is she proud? Is she vain?
Will she bite? Will she hate?

He stands up to wlcome her in
Says they are glad that she is here
She looks up shyly, full of fear
But then he smiles, and takes her hand
And then she suddenly smiles back.
