Neverland

Neverland

An adult,

I never want to be

I refuse to give in

And let time change me

An adult,

Responsible and boring

Growing up is fast

Age quickly encroaching

An adult,

Not seen in Neverland

Only happiness and freedom

Where only children stand

An adult,

Cannot see what imagination shows

They cannot grasp

Because theirs is outgrown

The change is abrupt

Now I understand

Why Peter Pan

Never grew up
