When I was young

I had no fears,

I had a happy smile

and no tears,

My friends grew up 

and I did too,

and I realized I had

much more to do,

Grades became essential

stress grew to be scary,

and the word 'never' 

was added to my vocabulary

Ah, the word 'never',

it crushes dreams,

and is more damaging

than it seems,

'You'll never be a singer,

or a movie star or an author'

'a grey office and a lonely life

is all that is in store'

The world of never is entered

when you stop thinking,

you cando anything

by just dreaming.
