I walk these ghetto streets to and fro
People have come but most of them go
Looking around for a ray of sunlight
Darkness follows me without the moonlight
I have been on this decrepit road forever
Thinking that the subtleties of life would make it better
All the people around here smoke trees and blow
As I found out, I realized those people I thought I knew aren't coming back
They wanted to be in the life of having so called racks
But they find themselves floating away in a toxic sea
A place that I hope to never see
Don't get me wrong I love my city
But I grow tiresome of seeing it filthy
