Never Meant To Touch The Sky

Have you ever wondered why,

We were never meant to touch the sky?

We were born with our feet on the ground,

With all its wonders to be found.

But there's an aching in the heart,

It's slowly pulling us apart.

The signs are in the clouds,

Their engines roaring loud and proud.

They glitter and gleam,

Encouraging all that we dream.

We have no wings, we cannot fly,

Yet we wish to be oh so high.

As we reach our arms to the sky,

We cannot feel it,

And we wonder why?
