Never Apart

Underneath skies of stormy grey,

I imagine the lightning flashes, thunder roars.

Above the scene of fiberglass and shattered metal,

broken windshields and flung open doors.

Where accidental death occurs,

and screams before silence is heard.

Where souls are taken back to heaven,

as their remains are buried in the earth.

Your name is stuck inside my mind,

our memories imprinted upon my heart.

You may be gone just for now,

but we will never ever be truelly part.
