Nearer My Love To Thee
Upon thee I hath established a love so profound,
deeper than the sea.
For jealously dwells in multitudes of beings,
for none other hath known 'cause none other hath found.
Thou are as delicate as a summer wind blow.
Leaving with thy into eternity hand in hand
means more than thou knows.
To love any less would be profane.
For thy heavenly father has sent I to partake
-in thou unconditional love discovery, I dare not forsake.
When thyself hath finished such plans, I may repose.
As I didst before this life I chose.
This is thy shrift to ye.
To love one so much is valiant.
To not have ye love in return may leave thyself in rancor,
But if that is equivalent to thy content
I can ne'er ask thee more.
