The brook gurgles, its life bubbling through
Sunlight glistens atop its smooth surface
A sound very peaceful, a sound so true
The light warms the land, its very purpose

The animals they come, from near and far
Yet not one alike, they share its beauty
The joy that it brings, is quite up to par
The water flows on, so is its duty

The meadow protects and provides
The trees that surround it grow strong and tall
All fears disappear, like the flowing tides
A breeze passes by, summer turns to fall

And though the brook will freeze with cold weather
Come Spring all will feel light as a feather
