Natural Sinner

Location

I dream of a kiss.
Clothes on but
souls laid bare.
I feel no touch, and yet
my body crackles.
Just enough of a spark
to pump my heart
or to stop it.

I cannot see your face
but I recognize your soul.
A shirt, a leg, a thigh
it's all I need
to see your everything.

How much have I seen?
Your soul on display
raw
on edge.

But is it enough
to satisfy?
To know you
to understand
should satisfy the wants of love.
I'm afraid this is something else entirely.

This of course, is
Sin.
Best kept inside.
And silent.

This is not surrender, but
acceptance.
But with it comes no promises of liberation.
Only a new cage of
animal instinct.

You would call it duality.
You would call it natural.
