Jesus said in Matthew 7:14, “Small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only few find it”
Life, many of you may ask what is life?
Is it life to live as you please and follow all of your earthly desires?
Or, is it life to die to your flesh and take up your cross daily?
I am sure many may say live life to the fullest, do as you please!
Live every moment as if it is your last!
But, God the creator of the universe says, honor me, die to your flesh daily, and through this life you are going to suffer many trials and tribulations!
Live life according to every word that proceeds out of my mouth
So does that mean I am going to have to live a strait life,
One full of affliction just to honor God?
Life as a Christian, hard? YES!
Having everything your way? NO!
Being pressed on every side? YES!
Being rich in fortunes? NO!
Pressed down, but not destroyed? YES!
Everlasting life? YES!
Every promise from God fulfilled? YES!
Crazy faithful? YES!
Plans to prosper me in the end? YES!
So why not suffer when I have a greater life planned for me if I accept Christ, and live for him?
What is there to lose? Everything!
So I choose life, I choose to enter by the strait and narrow gate!
Because Jesus said, “Wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it” Matthew 7:13
So why not be different? Why not be a part of the few who enter the kingdom of heaven? After all in life we always say be different, be a part of the few!
