I sit awake through night and day waiting for a note to say
Something of forgiveness or render my spirit worthless.

I sit in front of this computer screen
Looking onto sights unseen

Peer inside the depths of my soul
Only to discover this is a black hole.

Fighting the tears from my mistakes I glare out into the cloudless skies
Pondering the ideas caused from these misleading lies.

I begin to await a thunderstorm who will never show, a feeling who kan never grow.
Time ticks by a minute at a time, skipping its hands a long like a stone dancing atop a waterfall.

Sitting here with music blaring
In my fortress of continued staring.

As sleep over comes my weakened bones,
my mind attempts to grasp on to this slippery ledge
As we end simply over phones
My heart will still break now that we are done.
