Mysterious Figure

Sitting down on the rocky ledge

My eyes stray to a dark black figure

Strutting down towards the rocky edge

Getting bigger and bigger

It tries to wedge

Itself between me and the familiar

Wooden pole that stands near the edge

I stroke its sleek, familiar, figure

Black fur straighter then an edge

I stand letting it get back to his adventures

I watch it as it leaps into the hedge

No longer can I see that dark black figure
