My Yin

You said " everything isnt meant for you to understand"

But I understand that you will never be MY man

I dont think  you know what you did to me

You made me believe that i was going to be your everything

I listened to your stories about your abandonment, I vowed to never leave

I know your insecurities because your insecurities became mine

And our heart began to beat at the same time

Loving myself wasnt easy but loving you felt like a summer's breeze

Our favorite thing to do was get ice cream from Baskin and Robbins

Now I hate that place cause all i can see, think, and remember is you

I prayed that you would soon become a man

To show me affection, care, and understanding because I didnt want it from no other man

Your smile was contagious, in those moments i felt sense of validation

You would give the best hugs and from that i could feel both our souls from the tip of our toes to the top of the nose

Mine was old and yours was lost, together it made a hella of a cause

I was yours and you was mine

Only sometimes, half the times, but never all the time

We said good bye a few times , However this time is truly the end

If I could do it all again, shit I would hestitate but you were my yin.
