My Valentine

The day in the park,
The sun beamed on my shoulders,
It warmed our bodies,
Like our own spotlight through the trees.
Being in your arms,
It's like a magic trick.
I'm waiting for your move to make me disappear.
But when I disappear, I'm in our world of happiness and content.
I love your touch,
When your fingers glide across my back and legs,
When your strong hands rub against my hips,
It's a feeling of passion within our own skin.
Laying down with you,
our limbs intertwined,
It's like a prison I'd kill to stay in.
Just to be in that position, I cherish it all day.
When the sun hit the horizon,
It wasn't time to go inside,
But to explore each other's minds.
And seize the night, as it was always ours.
When the sun came back up to greet us,
It was time for me to go to school,
But I eventually ran away with you for the day,
But not before we got breakfast tacos.
Do you remember all the things I told my mom?
Do you remember all the things we did together?
I love how many of my "firsts",
Many of my experiences, good and bad,
Were shared with you.
Time was never on our side,
But the past few years, neither were a lot of things.
Only by the grace of God are we still here,
Keeping on, growing strong.
Not everyone gets to discover the mind of Alyssa.
And not everyone gets to unlock the trap doors in your mind.
I am privileged to be in your life as I know you are in mine.
