My Secret Serenity

Location

I'm holding this girl
Holding her in my arms tonight
I refuse to fall asleep
And give this moment over to my dreams

I notice her breathing; It becomes shorter, feverish
And brings heat to the blanket that encompasses us
Her head slopes on its side
And those locks
Those soft, cinnamon colored locks slumber on the skin of my arm...

Her soul can be seen through petite, perplexed pupils
Her fingers decorated with papercuts
Her nails are bitten to the quick
It is gorgeous.

She's everywhere and everything to me
My inescapable and interesting  beauty
And tonight I realize again
I am in love with her
And I'm only young
And my hair is not short
And my chest is not flat
But I am in love with her.

My Secret Serenity.

this is so beautiful, i love it.

its how i felt one night,

do you believe it is possible to be in love with someone for only a moment. or does being in love have to be continuous. I think i keep falling in love, but only for a moment or a day. then i fall out of it, doesnt mean i no longer care about the person but i am no longer  in that moment
