my purple pillow

Image result for purple pillow

There there for you when your head gets heavy

and you can't hold it up anymore

they shape the form of your head perfectly

no other form can obscure

soft on the outside and fluffy on the inside

both real and meant to be

can’t compete with its carelessness

as you crash down to flee

can’t hurt a soul

not a penny or a mole

I carry it with me wherever i go

just in case my burrows care to flow

to an alternate village of some sorts

i’ll have my safe haven aboard

flinging its lightness straight into the air

and catching its ripples before touching the floor

as I lay down to rest, I think of one thing

my purple cotton filled animated shield

that I hold so dear to my heart

I clutch it close so were never apart
