Dear God,

I want to say thank you.

Thank you for being here for me when nobody else was.

Thank you for protecting me even when I was doing wrong

Thank you for being my provider when I needed something 

and couldn't figure out how I was going to get it.

Thank you for being a shelter when I had nowhere to go.

I pray that as I prepare to step into the new year that you guide me

Help me to stay focused on my goals and your word

Align my plans with your will 

Protect me from people that will stand in my way.

Give me the strength to climb the mountains and 

courage when I'm in the valley

Help me to be a light in a world of darkness 

Help me to find peace as I try to live

my life as a reflection of yours
