As My Parent.

Though I'm in great pain, you're supposed to be there for me...

You birthed me, out of pain... you're supposed to be there for me

It shouldn't be blamed on me as to why I can't be good like everybody else.

Still, you're supposed to be there for me

I sometimes feel as though I live with a stanger because you don't understand all of me as I do you

Living in a Caribbean household isn't always easy

Depression exists

Anxiety exists

Everything exists

My emotions aren't a phase, mother and father

I just can't get "over it" mother and father

My parents have too much pride... in everything

I love them dearly, but they don't understand me.

Out of emotional depth, I can't blame them.

But my failures shouldn't be blamed on me, mother and father

It's life.

I can't be perfect all of the time.

But as I am falling...

Please be there for me
