My nose may be a little long.

Being flawless is impossible
to the critical eye
and to the unsatisfied mind.

But if you step back,
and take it all in,
it's amazing how many things you can see,
that are truly flawless.

My nose may be a little long,
but I can smell the lovely scent of beautiful flowers,
the wafting aroma of baking chocolate chip cookies,
and the sent of an overfilled garbage can.
My nose may be a little long,
but I can smell.

My feet may be a little big,
but I can walk for miles taking in the scenery,
I can jump up and down for joy,
and I can dance (if no one is watching).
My feet may be a little big,
but I can move.

My hair may be a little crazy,
but it is softer than a cloud,
I can add fancy bows and barrettes,
and I can keep my neck warm in the winter.
My hair may be a little crazy,
but it's mine.

My eyes may not be perfect,
but I can see the wonderful colors of autumn,
I can watch my friends shake with laughter,
and I can read every book on my shelf.
My eyes may not be perfect,
but I can see.

My height may be a little tall,
but I can reach high places,
I can shoot a basket (on a good day),
and I can wear long dresses.
My height may be a little tall,
but I can give great hugs.

I may not be a model,
but I have family who love me,
I have friends who care,
and I have music for my job.
I may not be a model,
but I am flawless,
because I am happy with who I am.
