My mother
Location
You taught me to fly without the wings
You made me grow with all the springs
You created a little world just for me
When I was scared to let the world see
You cradled all my cries
Told me beautiful lies
You made my every fibre shine
And suddenly, everything seems fine.
You packed my skeletons in tight boxes
You shaped my life like a game of blocks
You carved my heart with a million gems
You gave life to my dying stems.
You said you desired us the most
That for you we are the foremost
And yet, on your love I left a bite
Screamed nothings and started a fight
To keep me happy you felt all the pain
And still, I thought you were a loss to my gain.
