My Memory Tree

Location

As I stare upon you now

Your beautiful laves swaying in the breeze

Do you realize the memories you hold?

As I glide across the carved letters

Remembering the day we made them

Do you remember that day?

I stare upon the brances

Remembering how we used to swing upon them

Did we hurt you back then?

I look at the ground

Remembering when we sat together

Do you remembering giving us our shade?

I look all around and remember

All the times we used to laugh

Will you hold our laughter?

I'm sad to say but these are just memories

Because we have grown apart

Will you remember this day as I cry to you now?

As I stare upon this tree

Hoping for the memories

to come back to me
