My Mask

Location

I wear a mask of stoicism.

Even if the violence,

The irritation,

The hypocracy and hate,

They get to me and cause my blood to boil.

But, I can't let them get to me.

My mask is what keeps me calm,

cool,

collected.

My mask is my shield.

No one can back me into a corner if I don't let them.
