My Mama, My Rock

Location

Born to a young woman of only 16 years,
Should’ve aborted me and suppressed those tears.
Went against the grain and gave me life,
Stood by my side to help me see the light.

Written words to express how she feels,
Working hard to supply hot meals.
Never a moment of unshown love,
Proving to the world, I am a gift from above.

Constantly guiding me in the right way,
Writing and striving day after day.
Working and hurting but never missing a beat,
Standing and guiding to keep us on our feet.

Living example the life starts from conception,
Never giving into the ‘choice’ of deception.
Writing my feelings like my mom tends to do,
My Mama, My Rock, all my love is for you.
