My Letters

Your heart aches, your knees shake

You're left with pure fear

fear of what could make or break

that unforeseen year

Yet many often say

truth sets you free

but even though you pray

You're never left with glee

For the truth you see

is often misunderstood

as a way to plea

all through adulthood

However, sooner or later

you'll come to realize

that it's simply liars and haters

that swarm you like fruit flies

There is nothing to fear

there is nothing you can't do

in this gigantic global sphere

the one in which you grew and flew

It may seem like too much

and you may feel like quitting

but I promise you that I'll be here

as your crutch and your fighting spirit

Because I have a little secret

between you and I

I know you'll have achievements

that'll definitely fly sky high

So, don't doubt yourself

everything will turn out fine

I should know, I'm on your shelf

hoping my letters reach you in time
