My letter to Love

My letter to Love;

Dear Love,

Why do you twist me

Why do you twist me

Like a sponge that needs cleaning

Bleeding out water bubbling

All the reasons why he deserves me

Why do you drive my heart

Like a car with no breaks

Don't you know that the speed limit flashes

Among the corners of my brain

Do you have any sense of direction?

Because you always seem to steer me

Towards the gas stations that fuel me

With temporary morality

And then you watch it burn away

In the flames of a spark

How can you do this to me?

Dear Love,

You're unfinished and unhinged

You are loose pages from a novel

That a writer sends into the wind

Hoping that someday

The pages will reconvene

And share their stories with one another

I hope that someday

My car becomes a battery

Running off of the electricity

Of the novel's plot line

Dear Love,

I hope that someday

We can find a way

To have my brain think as loud

As my heart

This poem is about:
Me

Willz

I think this was an interesting way to describe understanding the concept of love.

Its a desirable concept that no one seems to understand. but we really want to that

we allow it to just send us spiriling, hoping that one day we'll land.
