My Inner Me Became My Enemy
Location
My inner me was once my enemy
to fight back I created a new identity
fradulent and fake as any can be
I longed for pride and simplicity
But what I gained wasnt expected
naturality and integrity were soon neglected
with all these filters those around me were affected
as if with a panoramic my selfie was collected
If only I were able to crop the photo and show me as a single
removing superficiality and lust for an ego
Do away with the filters and false portrayals
id be able to show my true charm to people
This poem is about:
Me
My family
