my guiding force

My mentor is the gentle hand that guides me away from the "wrong" crowds.

My mentor is the tutor that taught me that those mistakes aren't always the end of the world.

My mentor has picked me up from the hard ground and given me the motivation to continue on living when my one desire is to quit.

To stop, to just lose all feeling and just...

fade away

But my mentor isn't my parents, or my aunt, or even a friend.

It's me, myself and I.

I've never had anybody to look up to, or any bigger bed to crawl into.

It's always been my internal feelings paving my own path in life.

Nobody to help me or offer consolation and a warm embrace through my darkest nights

I've learned to be that for myself.
