My Guidance

Striving to find myself

It is difficult

There are many forks

And not enough guidance

I want to choose

but my mind grows blank

Decisions decide your life

May it be bad or good

you decide

You decide who you want to be

Frozen

Not knowing what to decide

A gentle hand comforts me

She wraps her arms around me

I feel her warmth

She proclams, "be who you want to be"

I feel a nudge

I meet the fork

I decide what path

I begin to walk and I look back

There she is

The one who was always there for me

My guidance

My mom
