My God Lives

Location

I am not an aethiest

I am a believer

A believer in something greater than myself

"What kind of bullshit do you spit?

Some kind of ego twist

You're afraid to die

And you're afraid to live"

I'm trying to figure it all out

I see God in the everyday

Trying to see Him in my own way

Who gets to tell me He isn't real?

"I don't see him.

Where is he when the children cry or people die?

Where is your god when the babies weep, they can't sleep, nothing to eat?"

Let me flip the switch

Where are YOU when the children cry or people die?

Do YOU give the babies food, do you shoosh and coo, and tell them it's good?

He's the only one that hears

To take away all their fears

And even when the pain, it sears

All of their scars will be made clear

That this day they live in dirt

That this day they may hurt

And though the devil may do his work

They'll be given what they're worth

I am a believer

I am an answer reciever

I don't have some "scared of death" fever

Even while I'm lost at sea

I'll still believe

Because my God

Is with me.
