This Is My Generation

Location

I Live In A Generation Where Brothers make fun of others because their hair isn't a certain way or because their shoes are not of a popular named brand
Not Knowing That Times Are Rough For Certain Families And Some Are Force to Eat Out Of The Palm Of The Government Hand.
The Ladies Man Brother. You know the kind That Likes To Swindle young girls With played out lines Like Ooo Girl You Fine, and How I Wish You'd be Mine And I Only Want You Carry A Baby Of Mine, and It All Sound So Convincing So She Made No Fuss.
But When The Going Got Tough And Things Became Rough And He Couldn't Take No More This Daddy Stuff He Bailed Leaving Behind A 16 year old Mother.
Now The Im Too Cool Brother. The Brother That's Too Cool To Do Homework Something Actually Beneficial Towards His Future But Cool Enough To Sell Drugs.
My Brothers Are Too Lazy To Invest Education. They Would Rather be an instrument of pure humiliation.
Rappers And Singers Aren't Cuttin It They're Just Puppets, Everything That Glitters Isn't Gold We Need To Break Stereotypical Molds Society Forms Around Us, Aspire to Be Higher We Need More Doctors, Lawyers, and Politicians People That Help The World Not More Music Videos With Half Naked Girls. Then There's Always a Thug Life Brother.
The Brother That Looks To The Streets And His Hood For Protection Because At Home He Was Neglected And Deprived Of Affection. His so called Hood Became His Family. Where is your hood when your about to get shot if you die they live whether you rep them or not. These gangs confuse boys about which man is bigger is it the one in the front or the one behind the trigger
Now it Wouldn't be fair if I didn’t talk about My “sisters” Not My Biological Sisters But My Sisters From Other Misters
The Sisters that pride themselves in social popularity
Participating in dances that are vulgar and derogatory
Uploading twerking videos on Facebook  and pictures half naked
Exploiting the temple that god made sacred Wearing clothes Advertising Their Cleavage And Their Backside but Get Upset When A Boys Hand Find It's Way Towards That Backside. It Wasn't Hard To Find You Put It On Display So He Thought You Wouldn't Mind
There Are Sisters Who Find the nerve to Physically Fight And Disrespect Their Mothers. The Only Person That Would Sacrifice Their Life For You. Stay Up 16 Hours To Work Two Jobs Just To Provide For You By Herself ! (angrily) The Only Person You Could Talk To About Girl Problems Because She's A Women Too So She Understands You Your Mother Was Put On This Earth To Guide You (Slowly) Your Never Supposed To Bite The Hand That Feeds You  But You Still Dont Understand And You Take Her For Granted But God Forbid If She dies today Then What's Going To Happen?
We have sisters that discriminate against one another , saying things like I'm not black I'm just light skin
Since When Did Light skin Become Its Own Race?
Is it because the light skins Got To Stay In The House With The White Master While The Dark skins Were In The Scorching Hot Sun Picking Cotton

Or Is It Because The Light skins Got More Attention From The Boys At School And The Dark Ones Were Excluded And Forgotten

Or Maybe Its Because The Media Portrays The Most Beautiful Women On The Magazines As Light Skin Yeah, That's Right.

We Have sisters who Talk about each other's nappy hair how their hair Slicks Down Way Better Than Ours
You See I Love My Nappy Hair
It Proves Our Character Strong Black and Inseparable But With A Little Tender Love And Care We Can Be Just As Soft As Your Light Skin Hair
You Fail To Realize That You Have Black Ancestors Blood Running Through Your Veins. We think johnson, smith, williams are Black last names not knowing that the african slaves were forced to carry their white owners last name with no relation just as property deliberately masking our true identity. That African Slave You Know The one In The Scorching Hot Field Picking Cotton is The Same Slave The White Master took Inside To Rape Over And Over And Over Again To His Own Disgusting Pleasure And Even Had The Audacity To Impregnate He And She Gave Birth To Your So Called Race "Light Skin" But Your Not Black? Why Divide Yourself From Us When We Are All The Same Whether We're Light Dark Caramel Mocha Ebony Redbone Or Any Other Given Name
Why Can't We Unite Our Selves Under One Race African First Then American Which Is A Known Fact
So No Matter How You Try To Dress It Up And Make Excuses You're  Still Black.

Martin Luther King Marched For A Reason Marcus Garvey Promoted Only Black Businesses For A Reason Langston Hughes Wrote Poetry About Black Struggles For A Reason And That Reason Was Not For Pleasing The White Society By Humiliating Ourselves And Turning On Each Other But For Us African Americans To Stay United And Be Equal
