My Flawless Soul

Many people fight to make themselves perfect,

Wading through the sea of life to find out what makes them worth it,

Money, Sex, Friends, and Power they think will make them flawless,

As if these attributes of material success would somehow make them flawless,

But at the end of life when you face death's cold door,

Your money, friends, and cars can be with you no more,

So no matter how much the world would look at you as flawless,

In the Almighty's eyes you are nothing more than lawless.

Others fight to look the best so that others do not see,

Their cold, selfish heart as ugly as can be,

But I am here today to tell you yes I'm flawless,

Because in the Saviour i have found my solace.

Yes my heart was selfish, cold, and dark as could be,

But my heart was covered with His Grace as deep as the sea,

So today I have a flawless soul,

And you could too if you let the Saviour make your's whole.
