My first love

First it was the day met

Then to our endless conversations

Our first date to first kiss

Two weeks in and went down hill

Things I shouldn't let happen but it was to late

Regrets left hanging and turned into a misunderstanding

Neither of us wanted it this way but it was for the best

No texts, no more sleepovers, no more hanging out

It was all over and I thought about them everyday

When I was testing, walking, driving, day dreaming

I wish I could go back to the day before my regret to change it

Then you ask yourself, do I wish I could go back?

No but that doesn't matter

What matters is that you know what love should be like

It doesn't have to be with your first love

The day we met

The conversations we had

I will never forget that
