In My Dream
In my dream there’s a place where it’s clean
No more waste in the air and the sea
All of us uniting to purify the endless trauma
Endless pain and suffering
Take me to my dream, where there is no war
And the children sing words that don’t include hatred or violence
Or sex or greed
And though I know it’s just a dream
I’m constantly wondering
Will my dream be noticed, will it be found?
In my Dreams there is no war
No guns or racism
No shadows that plague our souls
I wish to fly like a bird over the rainbow
And maybe find the dream I’ve always dreamed
Take me to my dream and help me realize
That it’s not pain or trauma but happiness in my eyes
Will we ever come together, unite as a whole?
I’m not sure.
But I do know this. If we can think it, believe it, then it is possible.
