My Dinosaur Life

I feel like a Dinosaur.

While all of you are busy trying to decide whether you're

happy, mad, sad,

or just in love,

I am busy being a Dinosaur.

Specifically, a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

I feel big, strong, and clumsy.

I could rip skyscrapers from their roots,

while bumping into the neighboring buildings.

I could drain the Niagara Falls

after stumbling across lush forest.

I am a fearsome predator,

and kid's favorite plastic toy.

Every step I take crushes and crumbles.

Every time I turn my tail whips and smashes the world around me.

Everything these claws touch is shredded.

I try to stretch out my hand for help, for forgiveness,

but I'm always

just

out

of

reach.

Every move I make hurts someone.

Then, I remember why dinosaurs are extinct.
