To My Desire: A Love Letter Part 2

To my desire,

My heart is the pawn, sitting lonely on the board.

You are the one rolling the dice.

All you do is play games with me.

Then, when my pawn breaks, you simply shrug.

You throw it away and pick another one from the box.

So why do I still feel

this burning passion for you?

Why do I still feel

like you really care?

I look past the heartbreak like transparent windows,

and I see your flawless eyes of rain

smiling brightly at me.

Your laugh like a thousand siren songs

that sing to me in half consciousness.

Your charm melts me

like a vanilla candle.

It's simple, my dear, but so complex.

I feel this way because my heart

pulls me to you.
