My Defense of Smoke and Ice

Location

Each and everyday,

I pretend and hide away,

Though many do not see,

That is not truly me.

I wish that I could show,

There's so much that they don't know,

But my past is still not known,

So they cant fear the unknown.

I like the feel of Smoke,

It gives me a comfortable cloak.

A place where I can hide my past,

A place where I can grow.

I really like the solidity of Ice,

It gives me a shield which is nice,

I can always feel protected,

And no one will know I'm affected.

I await the day that I can be,

The honest and true me,

Never hide away or plea,

The day I can throw my cloak to sea.
