To My Dearest Daughter

Thu, 10/19/2017 - 16:41 -- JonanQ

To My Dearest Daughter,

How I remember the day you were born,

How I remember holding you close,

How I remember your first smile, your first cry, your first everything.

You may not remember your first years,

When you would talk to the mirrors and laugh,

When you would hug your bunny doll so sweet,

When you would dance to all the songs of the world,

But I will.

I hope you will know how hard I work,

At our home, to clean the past,

At my work, to provide the present,

At my school, to create the future.

I hope to give you the world,

My Dearest Daughter

My Doting Darling

My Daring Doer

To My Dearest Daughter,

I love you.
