My Dear Stranger

"You look crazy,

I like that"

Is it because

My hair is the shade

Of the calm before the storm

Or because my nerves show

On every inch of my body

I have no poker face

Thank you,

Kind stranger

For social interaction

Has depleted to

An occasional pleasant surprise

Plus,

I have a fondness

For being called crazy

It's far less superficial

Than pretty

Or strange

Now my nerves

Are slightly less severe

But I am still working

Picking up the phone

Taking calls that I have

No answer for

I am new

I have no clue what I'm doing

And picking up the phone

Makes me more nervous

Than any stage I've been on

You,

My dear stranger

Did not have these intentions

I will not question

What your intentions were

Because I am just pleased

For the interaction

And your trust in me

To sign for packages

That are not mine
