My Deadly Rose

Location

What a beautiful rose you are!

How I wish to pluck you so!

But those thorns will just leave scars,

A reminder of the painful woes.

My rose your scent is so sweet,

But your fragrance is poisonous I fear.

I'd love to smell you, but I can't get near.

If I do, I'll fall here dead.

But allow me to admire you afar instead.

Dear rose your scarlet petals are so soft and bright!

I want to touch you, feel you, behold your sight!

But I can't, for you will fade.

Forever like this, we must remain,

Even if there's nothing but pain.
